Christian Baby Therapy Centre

The Baby Therapy Centre is an early intervention service, which helps all babies and toddlers with an impairment or development delay to expand their competence. Families of these babies are assisted to cope with the enormous burden they face.

13% of all babies have a mild to severe handicap, arising from injury, disease or genetic disorder. The good news is that early treatment and stimulation increase the chances for normal development in the period of maximum brain growth!

With this earliest treatment, secondary handicaps and fixed abnormalities are prevented in impaired babies who are otherwise deprived of learning experiences.

The Baby Therapy Centre was established in 1994 as an Early Intervention service:

• to expand the competence of all impaired babies and toddlers
• and assist their families to cope

The first few years of life are critical for the building of a stable developmental foundation, upon which all further skills are built. In these years children learn to sit, crawl, walk, communicate, play and feed themselves etc.

If there are any barriers preventing this, the child is not able to reach his/her potential!

With this earliest treatment at the Baby Therapy Centre, we assist children from birth to 3 years of age to overcome barriers through various techniques, and to prevent secondary handicaps and fixed abnormalities.

Early Intervention services include individual therapy sessions, addressing each childs specific needs, and group therapy sessions, often including participation of parents, thereby optimising learning and interaction skills. Our approach is holistic and the whole team is involved according to the need of each child.

The Baby Therapy Centre is a non-profit organisation, founded and run on Christian principles.

We are situated in Lynnwood, Pretoria, and run various clinics and outstations.
